Dewine, James P. II "Pat" age 87 of Knoxville, left this life to enter into his heavenly home on Monday, August 18, 2014 after an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents James Jr. and Nellie Dewine, sister Lillian Dickinson, and beloved son James P. "Pat" Dewine III. He is survived by his wife Ann, their love and devotion to one another God truly blessed, giving them 64 years of marriage. He also leaves behind daughter Debbie, daughter and son-in-law Pam and Terry "Butch" Fancher, son Michael and Sandy Dewine, there are 7 grandchildren. Dewine, James P. II "Pat" age 87 of Knoxville, left this life to enter into his heavenly home on Monday, August 18, 2014 after an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his parents James Jr. and Nellie Dewine, sister Lillian Dickinson, and beloved son James P. "Pat" Dewine III. He is survived by his wife Ann, their love and devotion to one another God truly blessed, giving them 64 years of marriage. He also leaves behind daughter Debbie, daughter and son-in-law Pam and Terry "Butch" Fancher, son Michael and Sandy Dewine, there are 7 grandchildren. He had a special relationship with his son-in-law Butch. He also had a fondness for his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. James was a long time member of Washington Pike United Methodist Church, where he served in several capacities. He served his country as a Staff Sargent in both WWII and the Korean Conflict; he received a Purple Heart and was also nominated for The Bronze Star for Bravery in Combat. He retired from Rohm & Haas after 33 years of service. After his retirement he and Ann enjoyed traveling, hiking in the Smoky Mountains and listening to all types of music. He loved the Atlanta Braves and UT football. James was a very loving, caring and unselfish Husband, Father, and Grandfather who was devoted to his family. His wife's unselfish and tireless love for him was truly an inspiration. The family will receive friends Friday from 5-7pm in the Lynnhurst/Greenwood Chapel with a Funeral Service to follow at 7pm. Dr. Pat Polis officiating. Family and friends will meet Saturday at 10:45am for an 11am interment service in the Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may leave their condolences at www.lynnhurstchapel.com
