I just learned of Jim's passing today. I have known Jim since the late 80's when he was at Mather AFB, CA, and then worked with him in Los Angeles. He was such a wonderful human being and I know he has a mansion in heaven now, reunited with his beautiful wife, in the presence of our Lord. Until we meet again.
My heart goes out to his children.

I was very saddened when I read of Jim's passing in the Retired Agent Association magazine today. He was a friend, respected and trusted colleague and all around fine human being. He never failed to live up to the highest personal and professional expectations. I will always have fond memories of the time we worked together. His friendship and kindheartedness were critical in helping me through an extremely difficult period in my life. A debt that is impossible to repay.
May his memory be a blessing.

Jim was a mentor and friend. I worked with him for many years and learned much from him. No matter how difficult a situation was he always helped us find a solution and kept his sense of humor. He will be missed. Please accept my sincerest sympathies for your loss.

I worked with Jim for several decades. He was a wise & wonderful gentleman. Every memory I have of him is of his solid, grounded decisiveness, and that wonderful sense of humor. He made our world a better place. My prayers will be with all his family and closest friends.

James E. Ewing was a patriot, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a caring friend. He loved life passionately, and we all loved him in return. It is fair to say that he left indelible imprint to the lives he touched. He was my boss, mentor, and friend. I'll miss sharing stories with him and laugh about the shenanigans. I will always be grateful for the time that I knew him, and all the wonderful people I met through him. I will miss him very much.

I met Jim when I was on active duty in the USAF in 2001. Jim was a gentleman, friend and colleague. May God smile on Ewing family and provide comforting memories of Jim and the many people he touched.

Jim was a great boss to my wife Laurie and a good friend to both of us. We still have Viola's Americana quilt hanging above our bed. What a blessing Jim and Viola were to us and many many others.

Jim was a mentor, gentleman, friend and an all-around solid human being--a true role-model. He will be missed but memories of our times with him will live on throughout our days. I am grateful and proud to have known him.

Mr. Jim Ewing was one of my agency's devoted customers whom I met and have known since 2002. Always a pleasant gentleman and mentor to myself and our organization, he will be missed; but greatly remembered. May God's blessings be with the family during this period!
