James Joseph Golden of Naples, Florida passed away on October 12, 2014 at the age of 81. Jim was born on April 26, 1933 in Harrisburg, PA. He was the son of James Joseph Golden and Catherine Sheehey Golden. Jim grew up in Lykens, PA.
Following his graduation from Admiral Billard Academy in New London, CT. he continued his education at the University of Connecticut where he had received a football scholarship. Upon the illness and death of his father, he transferred to Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA where he received his bachelor degree and his commission, through ROTC, as an officer in the U.S Army. He served on active duty and in the reserves.
Jim married the love of his life, Mary Catherine Regan of Camp Hill, PA on January 17, 1959. They had two sons, James Joseph Golden and Michael Regan Golden.
He is survived by Mary Kay, his wife of 55 years, and sons, James Joseph Golden of Mount Pleasant, SC and Michael Regan Golden and his wife Sue of Greenwich, CT; grandchildren, Megan, Christi, Shannon and James.
Jim raised his family in Greenwich, CT where they lived for over 30 years. In later years they enjoyed homes in both New Hampshire and Cape Cod. They built their first home in Naples, FL in 1988 and have enjoyed life in Pelican Bay in Naples, FL for over 26 years.
Jim spent his entire business career in the design and construction of reflective insulation and vapor barrier systems world wide for critical applications, such as low temperature and variable test chambers and the storage of liquid gases. Before his retirement in 2008, he served as Chairman of the Board and CEO of Alumiseal Corporation, headquartered in New York City. He was a life member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers;, a member of the U.S National Committee for the International Institute of Refrigeration; and a member of the International Institute of Refrigeration.
He was a member of the Union League Club of New York, Riverside Yacht Club, Riverside, CT; Burning Tree Country Club, Greenwich, CT; New Seabury Country Club, New Seabury, NH and the Pelican Bay Club in Naples, FL.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday ,October 17 at 10:00 AM at St. William Catholic Church, 601 Seagate Drive, where he has been a parishioner for 28 years.

Eternal rest grant onto him, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen

Joe and Carolyn

Jim was a gentle, kind, gracious and loving man. He was a gentleman in every sense of the word. He will be greatly missed by Mary Kay, his family and friends. We loved him and will miss him.
