I also met Jim through his involvement with WEDU. He was unfailingly professional and upbeat and a pleasure to be around.

Jim, Doug and Lauren, I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I have the best childhood memories of being with the Herrington's. So many fun times from camping, vacations, Christmas, at the lake, I could go on and on. Your dad was so smart, he knew everything. I regret not visiting Jim and Carol in Florida. I hope your grief is short and your happy memories long. Love, Andi Wilber

Carol: I returned home Sunday afternoon after a week away, thus could not attend the service for Jim. I enjoyed visiting with him the few times I saw him and think he was a very fine person and achieved much. I extend my sympathy to you and all the family in your loss. What a difficult number of years this has been for you, seeing both your son and Jim suffer so.

My condolences to the entire family. I grew-up with Lauren and remember her dad as a incredible television personality. My fondest memory is our school trip to Greenfield Village in Dearborn Michigan, where Jim came to film our day in a one room school house.
