To Jane & the Kennedy Family,
I too had the pleasure of playing softball with JIm in the over 50 league.
Besides being an excellent hitter and infielder , he was more importantly a great teammate & friend... This year he loaned me his favorite "White" bat and wth his encouragement I got a hit to left field. Thanks "Jungle" we will all miss you but will carry on in your memory . May God bless you & your family.

Subject: Under the Radar Kennedy
Almost six years ago when my Father died in late February Jim had a severe cold and missed visitation or the funeral. Several weeks later he dropped by the house and swapped a corned beef from Eastern Market for a couple beers and expressed his condolences on our loss. May I never forget good friends are hard to find and even harder to replace.
Slainte Jim,

As friends of Patrick Belanger, Bill McDermott and I would show up each year, for many years, at the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Detroit, almost as complete strangers, but Jim ALWAYS welcomed us as though we were family. I will never forget his generosity and positive attitude. We will really miss him.

There is not enough I can say about Jim, he was funny, lively, loyal, and always had an opinion. Caseville nights, conversation and many bottles of wine will not be the same without him! But his memory will never leave us. I'm so sorry that the kids and I couldn't make it to the funeral home, sick kids this time of year is the norm around here. I hope that we see you in a couple weeks for a holiday gathering, until then my prayers and sincere thoughts and love are with you Jane, Jennifer, Jessica and Joe, Erin, Danny, Jimmy, and Juliette. Love from Brian, Emily, Braden and Addison

I am so blessed to have been Jim's friend and coworker at Alliance. I already miss hearing him greet me with, "Tam! How the hell are ya kid?!". Just recently he was telling me about the Cheeseburger in Caseville festival and how I had to experience it as I am a huge "Parrot Head". I'll be thinking of him when I do make it to the festival! My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family and friends. Rest in peace Jim.

To the Kennedy Family:
We had the privilege knowing Jim through the American Legion Post 32. We would meet friends on Friday nights for a fish dinner. There were many great stories told a fun way to end the week. We looked forward to those dinners and the friends that we made. We will miss Jim for his stories, sense of humor and friendship. Rest in peace. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all at this time.

Jim will be greatly missed by many. We spent many hours listening to his stories and laughing at his jokes which make great memories for our family. Whenever we saw him, he always asked how the rest of our family was doing and made sure to acknowledge everyone present. Jane, we send you and your family our love and prayers. The Hall family will greatly miss "Jungle."

Jim was one heckuva freight salesman, working for the Santa Fe Railroad in the 70's and 80's, then Hub City Terminals and then Alliance Shippers. He was deeply loyal to his customers and to his friends. At any gathering he was the life of the party. How he brightened up even the dreariest winter day working the highways and byways of his beloved Michigan. John & Mary Leddy, Colleyville, TX

To Jane and all of Jim's extended family, I am saddened for your loss. Jim was a good friend.

I had the privilege of playing softball with him for the last 12 years on both the St Michael "Over 29" Catholic league and the "League of Exraordinarily Weathered Gentlemen". I will remember him as the purest pull hitter ever. I will always recall that he once went to "the opposite field", when he hit one to the second base side of shortstop. I will honor our shared disdain for "chick beer" (anything "light"). He will be sorely missed. His sense of humor was second to none.

Rest in peace my friend. I know you've gone on "advance recon" to heaven for us. We will meet again.

I had the pleasure of working with Jim for the last 9 years, and I miss him so much already. If he wasn't trying to steal my breakfast in the morning, he was trying to mooch my candy. He was a wonderful person and I'm thankful for our short run-in visit in Cleveland this summer (for a Tiger's game) at the Tilted Kilt. His humor and genuine kindess is going to be sadly missed.

To his family, may you find peace in knowing how much he was admired and loved. God bless.

Jim was one of the best. He had the Irish "Gift of Gab" and the positive personality to go with it. Many great memories over the years working and socializing with him. He will be missed by all who knew him - a passing of "One of the Greats".

As the Number 2 Takeela, I always looked up to and admired Jim, the Number 1. (The "Takeela's" was the boyhood club of Jim and Bob, and of my brother Anthony and me (we are first cousins), and of Pat and Bill, also first cousins. The club was Jim's creation!) We had a rousing good time. I miss those times, and I will miss Jim greatly. Linda and I send our love to you, Jane, Jennifer, Jessica, Joe and families.

There are a few people who can brighten your day with just a quick one liner or happy morning greeting. Jim was absolutely one of those people. His presence in our office is missed deeply, there's not a person I know of who can't tell you at least a dozen jokes they shared with him.

To his family, my thoughts are with you all.. Keep happy memories alive and find comfort in each other and all the good times you've had..

Jane, Jennifer, Jessica and Joe: Jim and I were on the ball field together many times over the years and win or lose, we were together in fraternity after the games. I have lost a friend, someone who was special to our "brotherhood of the diamond". But our loss is nothing compared to yours. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Jim and Connie Andres

Jim was a huge part of my work family for 9 years. Every morning started with my cup of coffee in the lunchroom with Jim and Jeff, and it was always accompanied by laughter. We shared many laughs and talks about baseball and his "cat-like" reflexes on the softball diamond. I am going to miss him so very much.

To Jane and the rest of Jim's family and friends, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God bless your family.
