James "Jim" Kuhn Jr., 68, died Friday, July 26, 2013, in Amarillo.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Pioneer Chapel at Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors. Arrangements are by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St.
Jim was born July 28, 1944, to James and Armenta Ernestine Mathers Kuhn in Santa Anna. After graduating from high school, Jim joined the Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War.
Jim loved golf and riding his Harley with his best friend, Rick Shore. He loved spending time with his family and attending the Mathers family reunion in Ruidoso, N.M. Jim was a kind man who kept everyone he knew on their toes. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Armenta Ernestine, and a sister, Patricia Harris.
Survivors include his son, Tony Kuhn and wife Michelle of Altus, Okla.; two daughters, Renee' Thompson and husband Derek of Baytown and Kelcy Reed of Converse, La.; father, James L. Kuhn Sr. of Clarendon; brother, Robert Kuhn and wife Kay of Amarillo; grandchildren, Charitie Williams, Chezney Reed, Lynnze Bradley and husband Ryan, Kanee' Williams and husband Matthew, Cole Kuhn, Trey Thompson, Jordyn Thompson and Mallorie Cole; two great-grandchildren, Brayden Bradley and Adalynn Bradley; and many nieces and nephews.
