James Michael Lannon, 60, of W. Halifax, VT, formerly of Ludlow, VT, passed away on Friday, Nov. 22, 2013 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital in Lebanon, NH after injuries abstained in a tragic accident. He was born June 16, 1953, the son of William H. Lannon and Emma (Rahulka) Lannon.
Jim was educated at Black River High School and Johnson State College. He traveled extensively after college for ten years. It was in South America that he met his lifelong friend Henk den Boer. Jim recently returned from a visit to Netherlands to visit Henk. He was employed by Pelican, formerly Hardig, for 30 years. Jim considered the Hardig's as family. He enjoyed sports, was an avid Red Sox fan attending many games. He was also a member of the Ballard Hobart American Legion in Ludlow. Jim was thought of as a quiet, gentle, caring man who enjoyed people and talked to everyone. He never forgot to show his love for his nephews, on special occasions.
He is predeceased by his father, William Henry Lannon.
He is survived by his mother, Emma Lannon of Ludlow; a brother, W. Jon Lannon of Ludlow; a sister, Lee Ann Lee of South Burlington; a niece, Jennifer Ann Lee of Austin, Texas; two nephews, Dexter and Miles Bellee of Austin, Texas, as well as many friends and his beloved, and well trained cats, Tigie and Fluffer Nutter.
There will not be calling hours. Services will be in Ludlow, VT in the summer. The Ker-Westerlund Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

My heartfelt condolences to the Lannon family. Jim and I would make Mrs. Flander's morning newspaper our last delivery and (with Prince's help) devour a baker's dozen of her freshly made doughnuts. It's one of many great memories. You couldn't talk to Jim without smiling.
