James Michael Monroe Lansing, MI Born December 22, 1955 in Lansing, MI, the son of Arnold and Phyllis Monroe, passed away June 12, 2012 at the age of 56. Jim was valedictorian of his 1974 graduating class at Everett High School. He graduated with honors from the University of Michigan in 1977. Jim retired from SET/SEG of Lansing where he was employed as an underwriting risk manager in 2004 after many years of service. Jim was preceded in death by his father in 1997. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday June 15, 2012 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI with the Rev. Richard Preston as celebrant. Interment will take place at Chapel Hills Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
