Obituary

James John Partridge, 82, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Born October 12, 1931 in Evanston, IL he was the son of James J. Partridge and Mae (Habryl) Partridge. Jim served in the 82nd Airborne Division and returned home to marry his beautiful bride Jean C. Doheny on February 20,1954. Living in Mt. Prospect, IL to raise their family of seven children, he was an active member of St. Raymond de Penafort Parish. James John Partridge, 82, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Born October 12, 1931 in Evanston, IL he was the son of James J. Partridge and Mae (Habryl) Partridge.

Jim served in the 82nd Airborne Division and returned home to marry his beautiful bride Jean C. Doheny on February 20,1954. Living in Mt. Prospect, IL to raise their family of seven children, he was an active member of St. Raymond de Penafort Parish.

After a lengthy career in the fastener business, Jim founded Big Bolt Corporation in 1976. Eventually Jim's life led him to his two favorite places- Powers Lake, WI and Naples, FL. Jim was an avid boater and loved to deep sea fish. Jim cherished time with his family and friends. He loved to read, play cards, enjoyed movies and was always there to help those he loved with household projects and anything else they needed. Jim was also a "gentleman farmer" who loved working the farm and sharing the cows, pigs, chickens, and goats with his many grandchildren.

Jim was a very loving father who was very proud of each of his seven children. Jim is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean, and their children, Tom (Carol), Mike (Tammy), Pat (Debbie), Kim (John), Lynne (Eric) and Sue. Grandpa is lovingly remembered by his 26 grandchildren, Erin, Drew, Jessica (Sylvain), Kendall, Matt, Dan, Meredith, Kelsey, Ally, Emma, Blair, Hannah, Mitchell, Kevin, Maggie, Mac, Paige, Dean, Clayton, Clara, Olivia, Dylan, Lukas, Jack, Izzy, and Sophia.

Jim is preceded in death by his son Bill and sister Elaine Spiegler.

The family will receive friends on Thursday August 7 at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner Street Des Plaines, IL from 3:00pm-9:00pm.

Funeral Friday August 8, 9:15am from Chapel to St Emily Catholic Church 1400 E. Central Rd. Mt. Prospect, IL. Mass 10:00am.
