The earliest memories of Jim are the pranks the Viero, Quiroz ,and Hawkins families would play on each other. Like coming home to find Mom's car in the family room, a goat in the kitchen, and turning off the water main at Jim and Faye's. Jim was a good friend to my dad, Jim Viero, even though they would argue over whos turn is was to buy lunch after a morning at the swapmeet. Jim will be truly missed, for he was loved my many.

I met Jim in 1973 he was my first supervisor as a young airman and one who I really looked up to. He taught me the importance of hard work and taking care of your people. Jim took me under his wing and encouraged me to become a civilian aircraft mechanic and supervisor. I had the pleasure of having Jim at my retirement in 2008. We had many good times together including sand dunes trips and deep sea fishing in Mexico. Thank You Jim for nearly 40 years of friendship. My condolences to all of his family he will surely will be missed.

My friend, Rosie Beard, just called to tell me of Jim's passing. My husband, Joey, and I are so sad to hear the news. Our deepest and sincere condoloences to Marian and all of the Quiroz family.
I met Jim about 25 years ago through my Barbie Doll buddie, Faye. It was obvious from the moment I met Jim that he adored his beautiful wife. They made such a great couple.
I just know when Jim got to heaven, Faye was there to greet him!
Rest in peace, Jim.

The passing of Jim saddened me but also brought back some fond memories.
The hunting trips to Utah with Jim Hawkins, Jim Viero, my dad Carl and Pop
were great times and full of laughs. Camping on the beach at Frank's Place
in Ensenada with Jim and "the whole gang" was also a memory I will cherish.
To Marion, Gemma and their families I send my love and prayers.

I didn't get to know Jim as well as much of his family but I had some cherished lively conversations with him. He gave me great advice, as I will be following his footsteps in my career. Condolences to the family.

Grandpa Jim served his country. He doted over his gorgeous wife. He had an unparalleled work ethic up until days before his death. He was fun loving. He loved his family fiercely and never missed a family event. He will be sorely missed by many. My deepest sympathy to his loved ones. I love you guys.
