James (Jim) Chester Reynolds
Aug. 3, 1941 - Oct. 25, 2015
Jim passed away peacefully Oct. 25 in hospital in White Rock, B.C. at the age of 74 with family and friends at his side.
Born in Edmonton, he is predeceased by his mother Helen, father Ches and sister Cathie.
He survived by his wife Tammy and four sons he was intensely proud of: Patrick (Sheila), Terry (Christine), Jeffrey (Joeline) and Ryan (Blake). Grandchildren Jaimie, Reilly, Heather, Aidan, Owen and James will miss him.
He is also survived by sister Sheila and brother Rod.
Despite health challenges that could have slowed him down, Jim was a strong and passionate man who lived life to the fullest. His spirit, stories and memories live on in his sons and grandkids.
Special thanks to Pam and Bambi, who cared for him in his final years and to the staff and volunteers at Peace Arch Hospital who provided such compassion in Jim's last days.
As requested, there will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, Jim's family suggests donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research (www.michaeljfox.org).

Remembering Jim. I can't believe it's been a year. My thoughts go out to Tammy and his 4 children.
Lots of fond memories of my life with the Reynolds.

Dear Tammy,
I was so sorry to hear that your wonderful husband had passed away. (I've been living in Boston for the past 10 years, and just found out.) My favorite indelible memories of Jim are from when you and I were next door neighbors and you were dating. He would pull up in front of the house and jump out of the car, and bound through the hedge to your door. Always smiling, always enthusiastic and always with a greeting and a kind word (even to Phyllis). I loved watching (spying?) on the two of you. So beautiful, so perfect together. Truly blessed.
Thinking of you and hope you are doing well.
Love, hugs,
Cathy

Years ago I met Jim within the food industry. He was jovial and cordial; we had a few chuckles when we met in retail stores etc. Jim`s personality was such that you looked forward to seeing him and easy to remember. It appears our birthdays are similar other than mine is 1940; an unknown coincidence. Sorry to hear of his passing and condolences to the family.

I was friends with his sister Cathie and knew Jim back in the days when he and Tammy brought the kids over to their grandma and grandpa's house. Great memories of those days. Unfortunately I lost touch with them and had not seen Jim for many years. I am sorry he had to suffer Parkinson. Thanks to those that cared for him. My heart goes out to his kids and family for their loss.

My deepest sympathy to Jim's family, friends and care givers. My heart goes out to all of you at this sad occasion. Although I did not know Jim nor his family, I feel a kinship due to the journey my own father is facing.with Parkinson. I hope that knowing Jim's suffering has ceased provides those that loved him some comfort. Jim sounded like an amazing man and father I only wish I had the opportunity to meet such a great human being. As the family has suggested donations in remembrance are directed to The Terry Fox Foundation there is hope that financing additional research may reduce the suffering of future generations. May he rest in Peace.

My sincere condolences at this difficult time. Watching our parents fail is the hardest burden of a child, but I know that your memories will comfort you. I offer you my hope that you will also find comfort in knowing that his suffering is at an end, though it doesn't soften the blow in your lives.
