On Saturday November 17, 2012 James Luther Shannon, beloved husband of Anna C. Shannon passed away. Loving father of Richard Sommers Jr. (the late Karen), Dawn Fromm (William), Michael Sommers (Tabitha), his beloved grandchildren; Jackie, Richie III, Robert, Douglas III, Allison, Jamie, James, Kalei and Branson, eight great-grandchildren, his sisters, Sara Dove, Shirley Spitzer, Eva Stackhouse and Mary Stickell, nieces, nephews, loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Carlene Shannon, Billie Reed and brother John Shannon.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, MD on Friday, November 23rd from 3-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 24th at 10 a.m., interment will follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
