James "Jimmy" Edward Spurlock, 52 of Millington, passed away September 15, 2012. Jimmy worked at Plant Maintenance Service Corp. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and grandfather and avid NASCAR fan. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Laurie Spurlock; daughters Brandy Spurlock, Amber Spurlock; sons Joshua Spurlock, Dustin Spurlock; sister, Barbara Spurlock; grandchildren, Dennis, Daishia, Dionna and Donnivan Hewlett; many adopted family and numerous friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 22 from 4-6 pm. A celebration of Jimmy's life will begin at 6 pm all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Road. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the American Heart Association. Online condolences may be expressed at www.memphisfuneralhome.net.
