James A. Willan, age 97, of Brooksville,FL. died on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the HPH Hospice Care Center, Brooksville, FL. Born in Liverpool, England, he was a boy chorister at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral. In 1985 he came to Brooksville from New Jersey. He was retired after 50 years in hospital administration. During World War II he served as hospital administrator in Liverpool and London. After the War he was a member of a relief and rehabilitation team to enter Liberated Nazi Concentration camp at Dachau, Germany. James A. Willan, age 97, of Brooksville,FL. died on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the HPH Hospice Care Center, Brooksville, FL. Born in Liverpool, England, he was a boy chorister at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral. In 1985 he came to Brooksville from New Jersey. He was retired after 50 years in hospital administration. During World War II he served as hospital administrator in Liverpool and London. After the War he was a member of a relief and rehabilitation team to enter Liberated Nazi Concentration camp at Dachau, Germany. Later, he was a hospital management consultant with Canada's Cree Indian and Eskimo Health Service. For some years, he served with World Health Organization in Haiti, Jamaica as well as parts of Asia and the Far East. His book "Hospital Management for Developing Countries" was published in 1990. James also wrote, “Hospitals make me sick”, a satire and “Fictionary of Political Terms”. The University of Geneva, Switzerland, awarded him an honorary doctorate degree in hospital administration. He was a Fellow member of the Chartered Institute of International Administrators, London. There are no known survivors. Turner Funeral Homes Brooksville Chapel 504 E.
