James was a wonderful person. In the time I knew him at The Arbor, I was impressed at his love and knowledge of plants. And I was more impressed at his love of his family, including his Arbor family. To Shirley, Bill, Andrea, Nolan, and to all James's family and friends I send my prayers and sympathy in this time of loss.He fought a good fight, but is now at rest.
There are so many good memories that I take from knowing James only about a year. You are even more blessed than I. In the days ahead, I hope that you will not hesitate to draw on those wonderful thoughts of James.

I am sorry to hear of James passing. Kroger was lucky to have James in it's ranks for over 45 years. I knew him for about 20 of those years. He was good natured and generous with his experience. He taught me lots of things like how to change a safe combination. It was my pleasure to have worked with James.
He will be missed.

The Final Salute
“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to James R. Woodall our “Brother-in-Arms”. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for James. And to James it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during the Vietnam War while serving in the U.S. Army. James, we bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 1,341 members of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to James’ family and loved ones.

I am so sorry to hear of James passing. He and I worked many years together at Kroger as store auditors. I say together, but he was the "north" auditor and I was one of the "south", and even though we did not see each other on a regular basis he was always there for me when I needed to vent about work, or needed advice. I always considered him to be a good friend to me and will miss him. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all at this time of grief. I'll miss you James...
