MAZUR, Jane Bixby (Walters), entered eternal rest on January 11, 2016 at her home in Williamsburg, Virginia. Her legacy of unyielding love lives on in her husband Robert G. Mazur "Bob" of 17 years, her children Steven (Angie), Lisa (Karl), Diane (Doug), Andrew (Avril) and Sharon (Chris); stepchildren – Beth, Cathy (Don), Robert (Dianna) and Jeanne; grandchildren (Jasen, Brooke, Zachary, Emilee, Katherine, Harrison, Allyson, Tanya, Sarah, Elizabeth, Hayden, Brandon and Jake); step grandchildren (Beverly, Christine, Christopher and Lexie); great grandchildren (Noah, Gabriel, Lucas, Lily, Olive and Gracie Mae); many friends and family.
Jane/Mom/Gma Jane believed that reading was the key to understanding people and actions and life. She inspired that love of reading in all her children and grands and supported them to further their education. She was beauty, and she brought it to life in every home she decorated, every cookie she created, and handmade sweater she knitted for a new grandchild.
"Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed and very dear. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love. Our mother is always in our minds; forever in our hearts."
We will honor Jane's memory with a viewing held from 3-4pm on Thursday, January 14, 2016, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188. A private graveside service and burial will occur at a later date at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, Maryland. Family and friends may share memories and photos at www.nelsencares.com.

I was so saddened when I read of Jane's passing in today's Frederick News Post. I met Jane during the time she attended Evangelical Lutheran Church in Frederick. I so enjoyed her, as she was always so interesting and easy to talk to, always so happy, enjoying life to the fullest. She was especially happy when she met and married Bob. My prayers go out to all of you during this sad time.
