Janene Beard, 69, of Lubbock passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012. Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at South Plains Church of Christ. Janene was born on Christmas day in 1942 to Walter Byron and Charlene Haynie in Post, Texas. She married Bobby Lee Beard on January 6, 1964.She worked in the medical field for 45 plus years for Dr. Carl Page and later Covenant Hospital prior to her retirement.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life for 45 years, Bob and by her father.
She is survived by her daughter, Shani Thomas of Artesia, NM; son, Kennon Beard of Lubbock, Tx.; mother, Charlene Haynie of Lubbock, Tx.; 2 grandsons that knew her as Grammy, Jerad Thomas of Lubbock, Tx. and Jordan Thomas of Houston, Tx.; sister, Lana Young of Los Angeles, CA and two nephews, Wade Donon Young of Los Angeles, CA and Brandon Young and wife, Elizabeth of Levelland, Tx. and five special friends, John, Sarah, Makieley, Marley and Maddux Bigalow all of Lubbock,Tx.
