Beale, Janet Lee Janet Lee Beale, 71, passed away on July 4th, 2012. A native Arizonan, she was born in the original St. Joseph's hospital in Phoenix on November 15, 1940 to the late Robert and Hedwig ("Freddy") Steward. She is survived by her four children, Barbara Beale, Kathleen Gardner, Michael Beale, Robert Beale and five grandchildren. Janet attended West Phoenix High School before earning bachelor and master's degrees at Arizona State University, where she was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, as well as an advanced degree from Northern Arizona University. A distinguished educator and devout Christian, Janet was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, 6300 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, on Sunday, July 15, 2012, at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery.
