Janet H. Bergen, 90, of Sarasota, FL and formerly of Kearny, NJ, passed away on December 20, 2012.
She was born June 19, 1922 in Kearny, NJ to William and Janet Trench.
Janet was a member of the Women's Auxiliary VFW and was their Treasurer for over 10 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Bergen.
Janet is survived by her beloved partner of 22 years, James Sanfilippo; daughters, Marian Leo of Acworth, GA and Barbara Romano (Ron) of Sarasota, FL; stepson, Robert Bergen of NJ; stepdaughter, Rosemary Dye of NJ; grandchildren, Ronald Romano Jr., Mark Leo (Maria), Jennifer Kittredge (William) and Craig Leo (Tiffany); and 15 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be at a later date. Condolences may be offered at www.palmsrobartsfuneralhome.com.
