Janet R. Foss Janet Ruth Taylor Foss, 73 of Lancaster passed away Thursday March 15, 2012 at her residence. Jan was a member of Fifth Ave. Church of Christ, and was certified as 1st Family of Fairfield County Pioneers before 1820 and of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Her interests were many; as a genealogist she has traced family history to the Revolutionary War, she is an avid gardener, loves to travel and was a competitive fisherwoman. Janet Ruth Taylor Foss, 73 of Lancaster passed away Thursday March 15, 2012 at her residence.

Jan was a member of Fifth Ave. Church of Christ, and was certified as 1st Family of Fairfield County Pioneers before 1820 and of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Her interests were many; as a genealogist she has traced family history to the Revolutionary War, she is an avid gardener, loves to travel and was a competitive fisherwoman.

Jan was a loving wife and mother. She leaves her husband William A. (Bill), her daughter Cindy Walter, and her son, William (Will), and their spouses; 3 granddaughters Stephanie, Tara, and Kelly and 1 grandson, Keith. Jan also has many great grandchildren; Darren, Lexi, Dylan, David, JP, Alli, Annabelle, Amelia, Cian, Kylan and Cora. Jan was the daughter of Russell and Thelma Rachel Taylor and Stepdaughter of Mabel Taylor.
Living siblings are Gladys Moore of Columbus, Russell Taylor of Canal Winchester, Jeannette Clark of Texas, Carol Taylor Ralph of Lancaster, Roger Taylor of Glenford, Susan Simpson of Virginia, Danny Taylor of Pleasantville, Terry Karpinski of Mt. Vernon, Barry Taylor of Rushville, and Sandy Terry of Pleasantville. Jan also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Siblings predeceased were George H. Taylor, Ora Mae Moore, Maryln Russell, and Kenneth Taylor.


Celebration of life service 1:30 p.m. Monday at Halteman-Fett-Dyer Funeral Home with David Tingler officiating. Friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday and 1 hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fernwood Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio.
