Mrs. Janet W. King Mrs. King, age 64, of Charlotte passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 surrounded by family at her residence. She was born August 27, 1947 in Charlotte, North Carolina the daughter of the late John and Mamie Williams. Mrs. King graduated from Garinger High School in Charlotte and later began a lifelong career in the medical field with Oweida Orthopedics and other various companies in medical coding and administration. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing bingo and loved visiting the beach; but most of all spending time with her family. Mrs. King, age 64, of Charlotte passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 surrounded by family at her residence.
She was born August 27, 1947 in Charlotte, North Carolina the daughter of the late John and Mamie Williams.
Mrs. King graduated from Garinger High School in Charlotte and later began a lifelong career in the medical field with Oweida Orthopedics and other various companies in medical coding and administration. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing bingo and loved visiting the beach; but most of all spending time with her family.
Surviving are her loving husband and companion of 40 years, Jerry King; daughters, Tammy Williams and Tracy Rowell; stepdaughter, Shelli Dodson and husband Roger; grandchildren, Nick Toscano and wife Linsay, Brittany Rowell, Daniel Rowell, Josh Boyton and Whitney Boyton; great grandchild, Sophia Toscano; brother, Dwayne Williams and wife Jo Ann; sisters, Patsy Locklear, Carol Williams and Sharon Williams; and numerous loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 21, 2012 at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
