On Friday December 14, 2012, Janet passed away peacefully with family by her side following a lengthy illness at Freeport Hospital.
Janet was 64 years of age, and had been retired from the Waterloo Catholic School Board after many years of service. She was also a member of St. Josephs R.C. Church, Kitchener.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, Wayne Montag after 42 years of marriage, and a daughter, Sandra Lynn in infancy.
Loving mother of Richard (Diana Montag) of Halifax, Nova Scotia and Jennifer Montag of Kitchener.
Janet will be sadly missed by her granddaughters, Sidney, Tanner and Zoe and a grandson, Joshua.
Predeceased also by her parents, Thomas and Helen Tanner (nee Kutasinski).

At Janet's request cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be taking place at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre,
would be greatly appreciated by the family by calling the Schreiter-Sandrock Funeral Home, 51 Benton at Church St. Kitchener at 519-742-4481 or condolences at www.schreitersandrockfuneralhome.com

A special thank you to the staff of the 6th floor, Grand River Hospital and Freeport Palliative Care and Tom, Reta, Rebecca, May and Kim Parsons for all your love and support.

God saw you getting tired,
and a cure was not to be
so he put his arms around you
and whispered,
"Come to Me"

With tearful eyes we watched you
and saw you pass away
and although we love you dearly
we could not make you stay.

A Golden heart stopped beating
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best
