Dear T-Serge and Marlene, I was talking to my father the other day about when he met your dad in 1964 when they worked together at Johns Hopkins. Dad's memory is still razor sharp and he has lots of good stories about fun times he and my mom had with your parents back in the 1960's. I can remember coming to your birthday parties (Marlene) when you all lived on 13th Street. I was horribly shy and your mom took notice and paid a little extra attention to me, taking my hand and getting me to participate in the party games. Your parents are the godparents of my youngest sister, Catherine. We have some lovely pictures of your parents in 1966, in their church finery, holding my sister. I remember other visits with both of our families, up into the early 1970's after you moved to Paintbranch area. I believe my parent's divorce likely caused our family to gradually lose touch with a lot of people, but I never forgot the fun we had so many years ago. I wish your family peace and extend heartfelt sympathy on behalf of the Casey family.

To the family of Ms. Janette Paret, please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. I met Janette two years ago at a social gathering and was quite impressed by her grace and warm spirit. When I was informed of her illness, I was not surprised that she continued to live life with the same grace, dignity, and optimism. God bless each of you. Hold fast the many memories that you shared with her. She was quite a lady and will be sorely missed by many.

Dear Joseph and Marlene, I wish to offer my sincere condolences on the passing of your wonderful, beautiful mother. I have such great memories of her kindness and beauty back in the sixties when our fathers worked together. I also recall having such fun with both of you when we were very young. I really loved your mother, and was in awe of her beauty. She was so loving and kind. I am sorry we lost touch over the years. I hope to see you on Saturday. May she rest peacefully in eternal glory.
Much love,
Joan Marie Casey

Janette and Marlene were neighbors of mine when I lived in the Racquet Club. They were always very kind to me and were wonderful neighbors. When Marlene got married, Janette asked me to wrap the gifts for the wedding party which I did with great joy. We have not been in touch for many years since I moved from the Racquet Club and they moved on with their lives. Over the years, I have thought about both of them.
Marlene, please accept my warmest condolences on the loss of your mom. I know that the two of you were very close and I am sure you will miss her greatly. I know that she is in a better place and will forever be with you.
Take care and--
May God bless,
James (Jim) Owens
