Janice L White, 78 of Kokomo, she went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016 at St. Vincent of Kokomo. She was born June 22nd 1938 in Kokomo, Indiana, to the late Dorvall and Letha Young. She married Stanley White on March 9th, 1985 he preceded her death on July 14, 2010.
Janice retired from Delco Electronics in 1992. She was a member of UAW#292. She never knew a stranger. She would make everyone feel special. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Janice enjoyed gardening, flowers, and playing BINGO. She regularly traveled to Las Vegas to play the slot machines. She was also very active in the Special Olympics with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley White; daughter Mandy Lewellen; son-in-law, Billy Campbell; three brothers; one sister; and her parents.
She is survived by her children Letha Campbell, Iris (Karl) Lewellen, Beth (Rodney) Cayce, William (Robin) Lewellen and eight grandchildren: Becky Lewellen, Janice Lewellen, April (Lee) Brady, Mandie Jarvis, Stanlie (Alicia) Jarvis, Astra Cheek, Mandy Holcom, and Phillip Holcom. She had several great grandchildren and she is going to be a great great grandmother. She is also survived by three sisters, Cathy, Becky, and Sue, two brothers, Joe and George.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 West Alto Road, Rev. Jeff Sexton officiating, with interment to follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Friends may call from 12pm until the time of service on Saturday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Janice to Golden Living Center-Sycamore Village, 2905 West Sycamore Street, Kokomo.
