JANICE A. TAYLOR, 88 KIRKLAND - Janice A. Taylor, 88, formerly of Rockford, passed away on April 11, 2013, in Kirkland. Born on June 8, 1924 in Menomonie, WI, she was the daughter of Guy and Mae (Wallace) Hanson. She was married to the late John E. Taylor. Janice was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Rockford where she was part of the Rebecca Circle. An avid reader, she enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling and most of all, loved spending time with her family and friends. Her survivors include her children, John A. Taylor, Perry (Rebecca) Taylor, and Mae (Randy) Ladson; grandchildren, John A. (Shelly) Taylor, Jr., Benjamin Taylor, and Chelsey (Jordan) Taylor; and her best friend, Bandit. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and a brother, Maurice Hanson. The family wishes to thank, Passages Hospice Service along with Janice' daughter and son-in-law, Mae and Randy Ladson for the special care that was given. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park with Pastor Wendell Maynard officiating.
