Our beloved mother, Janice (Widner) Watters, 68, transitioned on June 3, 2016, at 9:10 a.m.
Born on Nov. 2, 1947, in Lafayette, Indiana, she was the daughter of Oliver P. and Laura Belle (Crane) Widner. Jan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She loved people. She was always taking care of others. She never knew the words no, quit, or give up. Jan's path crossed so many others of all walks of life. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Jan was a canteen manager at the Elks Lodge No. 429. She was also a cook in Delco's cafeteria for many years. Jan had so many hobbies. She loved to travel to such exciting places as Atlantic City and Las Vegas, or hop in a truck and travel the back roads of North Carolina and Texas to camp with her brother. She loved to hunt the garage sales, gardening, and fountains. She was an avid fan of professional wrestling. She counted John Cena and Roman Raines as her favorites.
Jan was proceeded in death by her parents; two husbands, Thomas James Conrad in 1973, and William H. Watters in 1992; three brothers, Roger Leroy, Richard Lee, and Chester Craig. She leaves to cherish her memory her twin brother, Joseph (Helen) Widner, Ponca City, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, Judy Widner, Lafayette, Indiana; five sons, Oliver "Billy" (Joanna) Bradley, Pleasant Grove, Alabama, Harold (Jackie) Watters, Indianapolis, Indiana, Norvel Brown, Kokomo, William Franklin Watters and Robert Lionel Watters, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; three daughters, Ronda L. Gadson, Jennifer L. (Scott) Barbary, Debra C. Watters, all of Kokomo; seven grandchildren, Takia C. Watters, Krystal L. (Antoine) Jackson, Shayla R. Gadson, Corjinae S. (Tanner) Sanders, Scotty T. Barbary, Olivia and Grace Bradley; six great-grandchildren, Brooklyn I. Watters, Breeona C. Watters, Hailee J. Sanders, Xion L. LeGrant, Jatoine and La'Drea Jackson; one "Bestie", Pat Spencer; one godson, Jeremy K. (Libby) Spencer; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Although we were most often thousands of miles apart, I knew you were there. I always knew that you had my back. That I could count on you. And most important, that you simply understood. Now, I feel a void. A part of me is gone and I miss you more than anyone else can understand. Until we meet again, Love you sis.
