Janie Bartee Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 27, 2011.

ARLINGTON- Janie Utt Bartee, 62, passed away October 26, 2011 in Ft. Worth, TX. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Moore Bowen Funeral Home, 4216 S. Bowen Road in Arlington. Interment will follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park in Kennedale, TX. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1 from 6-8 PM at Moore Bowen Funeral Home.

The world was a better place because of Janie. She had such selfless love and caring and opened her heart for anyone she came in contact with, and didn't expect anything in return. She always worried about everyone else's well-being more so than her own. We wish everyone could have known her.
Janie retired from Sprint with 20 years of service and loved to travel with her family. She also enjoyed playing with her only granddaughter, Emily, every chance she could. Her husband, son, and daughter-in-law loved her so much and will miss her terribly. Memorial donations to be made to the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org

Survivors include her husband, Norman Bartee; one son, Bryan Bartee and his wife, Debra; one sister, Jerrie Molina and her husband, Frank; one granddaughter, Emily Bartee; longtime friend, Gloria Randolph; and numerous close friends and family.

Norman and Bryan, Janie was so loved by everyone who met her. She was the sweetest and most unselfish person I've known. She will be missed so much and our love and sympathy are with all of you. I'm honored that I was counted among her many friends.

Norman and family,
I treasure many fond memories of Janie growing up together in Mulvane. She had such a fun and positive energy and was a friend to everyone who knew her. I only saw her a couple of times as an adult but the photos on this website speak volumes. They tell that in this life she had many wonderful adventures and that she was loved by her family. In almost every photo either Norman's or Bryan's arm is placed lovingly around her shoulder. My heart aches for you.
May God's grace and peace comfort you.

Aunt Janie was a great woman, we did not know her long; but she made it seem like we had known each other forever. Aunt Janie was always a warm person and lit up the room...God Bless her soul for him to take and the family and friends through this time. Remember though we are still a family, and that God will bless over us as long as we run to him, Aunt Janie is looking down upon us now and I'm sure would want us to remember her but as well know she is in good hands now. Love you all I'm sorry we did not make it down.

Dear Norman, Bryan, Debbie and Emily.....Our hearts are breaking as we know yours are. Janie was such a kind, gentle soul and we will NEVER get over missing her. Her love and kindness touched everyone in our family plus hundreds of others. A wonderful person like her is rare and the world will never be the same without her. We love you all and don't ever forget that we are here and will do anything within our power for any of you. You all gave her a wonderful life and she loved you all so much. Please take comfort in knowing that she is no longer in that terrible pain and looking down on you with love. Love Always, Jerrie, Frank and family

Norman, Bryan and family: My Sympathy is with you. So sorry that Janie had to suffer so long with that cancer. She was a loving niece. I have a picture of all of us going fishing at the Arkansas River near Belle Plaine. I think we got stuck in the sand. That was long time ago.
My Love to you both and family.

Norman & Bryan, My heart hurts for you & your family at this time. I am one of Janie's cousins, and I use to take care of her & her sister in the summertime, when we were growing up. What a happy & special girl & lady she was. Even though we hardly ever got to see each other, there was always a bond that we held close through all of her illness. What a special lady she was. God be with you all & comfort you in the days ahead.
