"Flash" Eighties

Only 2 entries for Jay Paul? There should be many more. I knew Jay as the WXII production manager, in the 1980's, and worked closely with him. I especially remember going on the church service remotes when Jay was the director. He would sometimes bring his two sons with him, as his wife had passed on and there was no one else to keep them on Sunday mornings. Jay had a good sense of humor, even though he had to take a lot of griping from lots of people. I'm not sure I'll be able to make it this p.m. I made an obit for him with two photos. I really am sorry- Jay was a man's man!

Jay and I go back to 1966 and campus radio. Lots of good times and lots of laughs. Jay, you will be missed.

I was heartsick to hear that Jay had passed away. He was a devoted, loyal ECU Pirate and a mainstay of the Western Piedmont Pirate Club for many, many years. We will all miss him very much. My thoughts and prayers are with Jay's family and with Carol at this sad time.
