Jayne (Riley) Allen, 80, of Midwest City passed away July 29, 2013. She was born Aug. 31, 1932 to James and Novella Riley in Fountain Hill, AR. Jayne is survived by 4 children: Vicki Narramore & husband, Rick; and Jay Allen, all of Midwest City, OK; Mike Allen of Oklahoma City; and Cyndi Allen of Edmond, OK. Other survivors include 8 grandchildren: Justin, Jarod, and Jordan Allen; Luke and Mark Hoskins; Peyton, Karsten and Madison Allen; 1 great-grandson: Jonas Allen; and 2 siblings Lavon Miller and Billy Riley, both of Hamburg, AR. Jayne (Riley) Allen, 80, of Midwest City passed away July 29, 2013. She was born Aug. 31, 1932 to James and Novella Riley in Fountain Hill, AR. Jayne is survived by 4 children: Vicki Narramore & husband, Rick; and Jay Allen, all of Midwest City, OK; Mike Allen of Oklahoma City; and Cyndi Allen of Edmond, OK. Other survivors include 8 grandchildren: Justin, Jarod, and Jordan Allen; Luke and Mark Hoskins; Peyton, Karsten and Madison Allen; 1 great-grandson: Jonas Allen; and 2 siblings Lavon Miller and Billy Riley, both of Hamburg, AR. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse (Pat) Allen; her parents; a son: Jeffry Lynn Allen; 2 sisters: Polly Riley Estelle & Mattie Pearl Riley Kilcrease; and 3 brothers: Floyd, Kenneth and Arthur Riley. Jayne graduated from Hamburg High School in Hamburg, AR in 1950. She was active on the girls' basketball team and was Football Queen. She then moved to Little Rock, AR to pursue a business career when she met Jesse. They married on March 29, 1952 and continued their life in the Air Force, living in many places across the country. In 1971, they made Midwest City, Oklahoma their forever home. She worked at Tinker AFB as a civil servant until she retired in 1994. She loved her grandchildren, gardening, crafts, cooking, and enjoyed writing poetry. In her later years, she discovered a new quilt shop that renewed her love for quilting. The shop and the friends she made provided her something to look forward to and achieve things that she didn't think she could do because of her illness. She was known to all of her friends & family as a great storyteller and loved making people laugh. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the . The family will receive friends on Thursday, Aug. 1, from 6-8 p.m. at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, Aug. 2 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bill Eisenhour NE Chapel with interment at Arlington Memory Gardens.
