On September 24, 2016, Jean McPhee succumbed to a brain tumor. She was cared for at home in Fair Oaks by her daughter and sister. After 2 months, she peacefully crossed the river to heaven. Jean was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Libby Gall. She worked for the San Juan Unified School District and retired after 30 yrs. Always an animal lover she faithfully walked her dog(s) and gave treats to neighborhood canines. She was a loving mother, beautiful sister and dear friend who will be greatly missed. Jean is survived by her daughter Jennifer McPhee; brother Dennis Gall (Gloria); nephew Randy Gall; and sister Colleen Slaughter. A mass will be held Saturday October 22, 2016 at 11:30 am Calvary Catholic Cemetery 7101 Verner Ave. Sacramento, CA 95841.

Jennifer! It has been a long time but we were playmates when we were little. I'm a little older though. You had such an awesome Mom! You still do, but now she can help you more than ever since she sits with Jesus in Heaven and has earned her wings! I only recently heard of her illness and you, her and Twinkie have been very much in my thoughts and prayers during such a difficult time. It sucks being left behind and watching our loved ones leave our presence. Though your memories never fade, the pain will eventually will. I wish you happiness and love. Peace be with you!

Jenn,
I do not type any better than high school. My message should read DAD not Day.

Dear Jennifer,
I hope happy memories of your Mom bring you some peace during this difficult time. Still remember standing up at her wedding to your Day. Glad that Dad was able to spend some time with you. With prayers and love, Aunt Maureen

Dear Jennifer,
I was so sorry to hear about your Mom. It has been way too long but I still have memories of visiting with you all in California. Your Mom was a lovely woman. Thinking of you.

Jean was a wonderful mom. You can tell because our daughter, Jennifer, is a great person, with a big caring heart. You can't ask for more from your children.

Jean was a terrific neighbor and friend for over 25 years!!! Walking the dogs with her was a good way to get a dose of engaging, candid conversation and plenty of laughs. She was thoughtful, kind, and truly cared about her neighborhood and the people in it. Jean will be very much missed in the "Village".
We hope cherished memories will bring comfort to Jennifer and Colleen in the weeks ahead. We feel very fortunate to have called your Mom/Sister a friend, and will remember her fondly.
