Jean Taylor Holland of Jackson, MS, passed away peacefully at the age of 96 on September 10th, 2016. The family rejoices that she is again with her husband of 69 years, Z.D. (David) Holland, who died on this same day in 2010. It was her fondest wish to join him in Heaven. Mrs. Holland, daughter of Walter N. and Lois Fuller Taylor, was born in Kilmichael, MS, and raised in Clinton. She graduated from Mississippi College. She was a founding member of Fondren Presbyterian Church in Jackson and was organist there for several years. She was a devoted homemaker, wife, and mother. She also worked side by side with her husband to make their real estate company a success. She was a fine artist, musician, and interior decorator.
Mrs. Holland is survived by her son, Rick Holland of Madison, MS, and his children, Allison Jensen with her husband Darwin Jensen, Jacob Holland, Jennifer Holland, and Brady Holland, and by Allison's children, Tyler, Kade, and Samantha Jensen. She is also survived by her daughter, Patricia Jean Holland with her husband Bryon Adinoff, of Dallas, TX, and their son, Zack Adinoff, and daughter, Holland Adinoff. Mrs. Holland's nephews, Will H. Blackwell of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Donn E. Taylor of The Woodlands, TX, also survive her.
David and Jean adopted Patricia and Rick as infants. No two children were ever more fortunate and no two parents were ever more loved. Jean's children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will deeply miss her loving spirit and constant strength.
