Jean Baptiste Bidondo, 74, of Grandview, Mo., passed away at St. Joseph Medical Center, April 20, 2011. Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 a.m., Wed., April 27, 2011. Coronation of Our Lady Catholic Church, 13000 Bennington Ave., Grandview, Mo. Rosary 6:00 p.m. Tues. McGilley & George Grandview Chapel with visitation following. Memorials may be made to Catholic Charities. Jean was born, Nov. 20, 1936, in Lasse, France, to Jean and Janette Bidondo. He came to the United States at age 17. He worked for Pittman Manufacturing for almost 40 years retiring in July 1998. His life long passion was woodworking and home remodeling which he turned into a second career after retirement. He owned J & B Home Repair & Remodeling. He was generous with his time and talents and always available to help family and friends around the house and in the garden. He also enjoyed baking bread and cooking out doors for family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores in 2005 and brother Pierre. He is survived by children: Sheila & husband Bill Birkner, Tracy, Calif., Stacey Bidondo & Gary Snare, Grandview, Mo., Maria Bidondo, Raymore, Mo., John Bidondo, Overland Park, Kan., Dominick Bidondo, Sterling, Colo., Julie Bidondo, Grandview, Michael and wife Yvette Bidondo, Belton, Mo.; grandchildren Kurtis, Justin, Brandon, Katie, Patrik, Whitney, Anisha, Ashley, Carlee, Zoey and Dakota; great-grandchildren Brandon, Alyssa and Elijah; siblings in France: brother Dominique Bidondo; sisters Maria Teresa Bidondo Angely and Dominica Iriarte.
