Jean Mocho passed away in Ontario, California after a battle with Parkinson and Coronary Disease for the past several years. Born in St. Michel, France to Pierre and Gracieuce Mocho, he was one of eight children and is preceded in death by his seven siblings. Jean was very proud of his Basque heritage and continued to follow the Basque traditions once he came to America in 1948. He settled in California where he met and married his wife, Noeline. They were to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on April 18. Jean was a hard working dairyman, owning and operating a dairy for 45 years, first in Norwalk and then moving the operation to Mira Loma. He is survived by his devoted wife, Noeline, admiring daughter, Bernadette Quincey, loving grandchildren, Nicholas and Alexandra Quincey, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jeanne and Michel Plaa, nieces and nephews, Jeannine and Richard Bockstahler, John and Julie Plaa, Michael and Jillian Bockstahler (Nathan, Gracie), Kevin Bockstahler, Brian Bockstahler, Pierre and Sharon Mocho, many more caring nieces and nephews in France, and godchildren, Susan Smith and Marina Beebee.
Jean will be missed for his loving, gentle ways, sharp sense of humor, and his passion for singing the Basque songs. Viewing will be held at Draper Mortuary in Ontario, Sunday, February 24 at 4:00 – 7:00pm and Rosary/Funeral services, Monday, February 25, 9:30am at St. Margaret Mary Church in Chino. In lieu of flowers, donations to your favored charity or Chino Basque Club Scholarship Fund will be much appreciated.

"I have just learned of the passing of your beloved Jean. My deepest sympathy to all of you, but especially to Noeline and Bernadette. With kindest regards,..." Angie Ochandorena (Doneztebe)
