Jeanette "Net Net" Johnson, 92, of Belmont passed away on June 11, 2014 at her home. She was born in York County, SC and was the daughter of the late Guy Monroe Johnson and Sadie Rainey Johnson . Jeanette was the eldest of eleven children and was known as a second mother to all her adoring nieces and nephews. A talented baker and cook, she fed her family, neighbors and friends with food cooked from her "favorite" recipes. She was a member of Springwood Primitive Baptist Church and retired from Pharr Yarns in 2000. Jeanette "Net Net" Johnson, 92, of Belmont passed away on June 11, 2014 at her home. She was born in York County, SC and was the daughter of the late Guy Monroe Johnson and Sadie Rainey Johnson .

Jeanette was the eldest of eleven children and was known as a second mother to all her adoring nieces and nephews. A talented baker and cook, she fed her family, neighbors and friends with food cooked from her "favorite" recipes.

She was a member of Springwood Primitive Baptist Church and retired from Pharr Yarns in 2000.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Margaret Johnson, beloved sister-in-law, Elvie Drew Johnson, two nieces, six nephews, five great nieces, three great nephews, five great-great nieces.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Edna England and Barbara Cox, and brother Charles Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 12:00 pm in the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park.
