Jeannette L. Hall 90, formerly of Hilltop Drive, Keene, NH, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 at the Cheshire Medical Center / Dartmouth Hitchcock, Keene.

She was born in Gloucester, Mass. on November 2, 1926, the daughter of Francis X. and Ethel Q. (Moulton) Mitchell.

Jeannette grew up in Hyde Park. She moved to Gilsum, NH where she resided for several years before moving to Keene in 1968.

She worked for over forty years with the Peerless Insurance Company in Keene, first as an underwriter, and just prior to her retirement, Jeannette worked as a clerk in the mailroom at Peerless. Following retirement, she returned to Peerless to work in the mailroom on a part-time basis.

Jeannette was as member of the Gilsum Congregational Church and later a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Keene, for many years. She was also a longtime member of the Gordon Bissell American Legion Keene Post 4 Auxiliary.

She loved to sing and dance, and was known to strap on a pair of roller skates as well She loved cats, and also loved watching sports, especially the Patriots. Jeannette also loved to travel. She was a phenomenal cook, and everyone looked forward to meals prepared by Jeannette, especially her desserts.

She will be greatly missed by many, especially her sons, Matthew R. Clark and his wife, Patricia of Swanzey, NH, Steven M. Clark and his wife, Marcia, of Richmond, NH; her daughter, Laura H. Briedis and her husband, Roberts, of Ashuelot, NH; grandchildren, Sara Clark, Peter Clark and his wife, Karen, Christopher Clark and his wife, Marie; and two great-grandsons, Tyler Clark and Owen Clark. She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, John R. Hall in 2011; a son, Dwight E. Clark in 2015; a grandson, Seth M. Clark in 2005; two brothers, Frank Mitchell and Eugene Mitchell; and a sister, Phyllis Mitchell.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 2:00PM in the Mountain View Cemetery, Old Homestead Highway (Route 32), Swanzey. Family and friends are welcome. There are no public calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Hall's memory to a charity of one's choice.

I am so sorry to hear of Jeannette's passing. I loved her, she was the funniest person I've ever known. Her sense of humor was wonderful. I went to school with Dwight so I've known Jeannette for many years and would often see her at the Legion. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Cindi Lambert
