Jeannette Elaine Real Boster of Kerrville and San Angelo, Texas passed away January 15, 2013. She was born July 10, 1925 in Kerr County on a ranch along the Lower Turtle Creek. The daughter of Caspar and Meta Real, she attended Tivy High School in Kerrville, Texas along with her sister Emilie Real. Jeannette attended Schreiner Institute and later obtained her Medical Technology degree from the University of Texas, Galveston where she met and married Raymond G. Boster. Jeannette Elaine Real Boster of Kerrville and San Angelo, Texas passed away January 15, 2013. She was born July 10, 1925 in Kerr County on a ranch along the Lower Turtle Creek. The daughter of Caspar and Meta Real, she attended Tivy High School in Kerrville, Texas along with her sister Emilie Real. Jeannette attended Schreiner Institute and later obtained her Medical Technology degree from the University of Texas, Galveston where she met and married Raymond G. Boster. Dr. and Mrs. Ray Boster settled in San Angelo, Texas. She received her BA from Angelo State University with honors. She was later awarded a fellowship at SMU and obtained a Masters Degree in Mexican-American Studies. Over the next 20 years, she taught Social Studies then Special Education and ended her teaching career as a Home Bound teacher. She was a finalist for Teacher of the Year for the State of Texas. Jeannette loved teaching her students and was instrumental in motivating many young students to achieve their potential. Jeannette's interests were varied, to include; her book club, the bridge club, the Democratic Club, Texas Retired Teachers, and the League of Women Voters. She was active in Saint Mark's Presbyterian Church since its inception and served on the Project Dignidad Board and was a CASA volunteer. She was a lifelong Democrat, participating at the local, state and national level. Most of all, she was a generous, selfless servant to her community and family. Jeannette is survived by her sister Mrs. Dennis W. Neill of San Antonio, son Michael Boster and his three daughters; Rebecca and her husband Nathan Kennedy, Lisa and Emily; her son Dr. Stephen Boster and his wife Dr. Mary Seger and their three children; Eva, Hayden, and Julia; and her daughter, Barbara Oates and her husband Michael Oates and their three daughters; Katherine and her husband Michael St. Mars and son Lucas, Elizabeth and her husband Thomas Hand, and Margaret. She was devoted to her nine grandchildren.
