Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 17, 2017.

Jeannie Ann Wooley, 58, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, November 15 after a sudden and brief cancer diagnosis. She was born March 6, 1959 in Marion, Ohio to Robert Pezley and Rowena (Mathews) Pezley. Jeannie worked as a 911 Services Manager with Frontier, formerly GTE and Verizon, and earned her Emergency Number Professional certification and was a former board member of Indiana NENA. She is a graduate of Harding High School and Ohio State. Jeannie was a very creative and fun loving person. Her AC/DC and Def Leppard could sometimes be heard a block or two away and she enjoyed being a member of the 55 and Fabulous group that socialized together. She enjoyed the Museum of Art, flowers, keeping the home decorated and fresh, and animals, especially the Zoo and the orangutans.

Jeannie is survived by her husband, Jeff Wooley; daughters, Aubriel and Pariss Wooley; mother, Rowena Pezley; sisters, Patty Mosley, Yvonne Pennington, and Peggy Browning; and her special dogs, Ginger and Wasabi. She is preceded in passing by her father, Robert Pezley and her brother, Paul Pezley.

A Celebration of Her Life will begin with a remembrance ceremony at 11:00 am with reception following until 3:00 pm Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Indianapolis Zoo Hulman Riverhouse, 1200 W Washington St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46222. In loving memory of an amazing person. Aunt Jeannie was always the ray of sunshine in the room, and the hearty laugh echoing through the house, and the broad smile that you absolutely couldn't help but smile back at. She exuded love and happiness and that will through her family all of your days.

I had the pleasure of being a team mate with Jeannie while at Frontier. She was the kind of person who brightened the day for everyone. Jeannie's customers always liked and respected her for the good work she did on their behalf and her employers recognized her value as an employee and especially as a good person. Her smile and outgoing nature will ne missed.

My deepest sympathy to Jeannie's family. I worked with Jeannie in 911 at Verizon and Frontier. Folks in 911 are like family who have a special bond and my heart broke knowing we lost one of our own. I have thought of her often since hearing the sad news and my memories are of a bubbly woman with a smile on her face which carried across the phone. Although, I know Jeannie from 911 my strongest memory of her is she was a wife and a mom who loved her family.

I worked with Jeannie in Westfield during the late GTE/early Verizon years and remember her as a sweet, caring person who was very dedicated to the E-911 customer community she served. I know she will be greatly missed, and offer my heartfelt condolences to all of her family and friends.

Sending thoughts and prayers to Jeannie's family. I was blessed to be introduced to her over a year ago and to work with her on a project. She was a patient and kind woman who took extra time to explain things to the "new guy in 911". Her friendly voice and laughter will be missed.

Jeannie was dynamic, lovely, and a spirited lady. I loved talking and laughing with her and she always made me feel like an old friend. I've only known her this year, wish we had met sooner. Our Fab55 group won't be the same without her. Sincere wishes for peaceful comfort to her beautiful daughters and devoted husband in the challenging days ahead.
