Obituary

AJefferson Ottis Spriggs was born October 28, 1925 in Mulhall, OK and passed away June 25, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents Ottis Alfred Spriggs and Beulah Land (Patten) Spriggs, and one brother Alfred Spriggs. He is survived by his loving wife Lola Mae Spriggs, two daughters Sonya Martin and husband Lynn, and Rene Brandert and husband Devin, one grand-daughter, Clarissa Smith, and one sister Vera Maryott. Jeff joined The United States Coast Guard in 1942 and fought in World War II. After returning home from the war, he attended OBU for one year. He went to work at Tinker Air Force Base as a jet engine mechanic in April 1948....

Jeff joined The United States Coast Guard in 1942 and fought in World War II. After returning home from the war, he attended OBU for one year. He went to work at Tinker Air Force Base as a jet engine mechanic in April 1948. He was married on September 4, 1948 to Lola Mae Herrold. Jeff enjoyed camping, fishing and coaching little league baseball, and also worked with the Boy Scouts. Jeff loved studying the Bible and attending services at Del City Church of Christ. He retired after 32 years at TAFB, than went to work at the church doing security and janitorial work for about 10 years.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Del City Church of Christ with burial at 2:00 PM at Wellston Cemetery, Wellston, OK.
