Hey Jeff, this hit me and Kim right in the gut. We did not know you long, but we so appreciated you for so many reasons. Nicest guy ever. Extremely smart and resourceful. (the only one who figured out a way to fix the lock on our screen door, so we didn't have to buy and install a new one) And the guy who gave us our best and most thoughtful housewarming gift, an old-school nautical clock. We never walked away after talking to you without a gentle smile on our face. Sherilyn, you were blessed. A better guy there could not be.

Jeff & I would sometimes shoot hoops in Huntington Beach & talk philosophy. He was always willing to help someone when they were down. I was laid off a few times & Jeff put me to work as a helper. Will never forgot his generous nature.

Sherilyn Classen

A Love Song for Sherilyn-By Jeff Classen 6-16-2009
" Raindrops in my Heart"
I walk the world below, there's many people here "wow". I look up to the sky to see what might be there "wow", And I laughed to myself!
Clouds are forming and the people were joining, I did not really care. Something's in the Air...
I had an inkling of what's to come and something trickles through my hair, as I laugh to myself. Rain clouds have arrived, there's thunder in the sky and rain drops in my eye.

I walk around this town it hasn't rained for years. I feel so lonely here and sometimes dwell on fear. I need a little tear to help me through this time. No blue sky here today only clouds in the sky. No rhyme or reason here, just thinking of times gone by. I feel a tiny cry. Something's in the air, just wasting time, waiting there.
There's thunder in the sky, and a rain drops in my eye.

Standing alone, just talking on the phone. I wonder if I'll ever get it right. Sometime... My time is gonna come. Walking in the rain wet as the day I was born. I feel a little scorn. Too many places & too many things, some people I know just washed away my Dreams. Or so it just may seem that way, but my time is gonna come. Someday.

Driving in the rain, just going that way, I'm going that way where the lightning strikes my heart. Falling apart from goodness within, what can I say it just feels that way. Where should I begin? Then I come back to place that I did start. Ten thousand raindrops fell on my heart.

I'm feeling better now, and I lost my scowl. And the Girl that I know "Sherilyn" is cheering me on to be better than I am, a Solitary man. It rained for days, now the sky is clear. All things are fresh since a had a little tear. Tripping in the sand with her hand in mine. What we're gonna find, I really do not know... But the sun is on my face and sand in my toes, havin' a good time, this feels like the perfect place, to erase.

Many time I found my head in the ground, but not this time. Should I give it to the girl and send it into outer space? Should I be real strong or just a little weak. Playin the game of being on top, maybe it needs, Oh Baby it needs a little tweak!

Then suddenly we stop, neither one's on top. This ones like no other, not like sister and brothers. Nor fathers and mother. Just like friends! We give it away only to each other. We will never end.

Now that we belong, two words of a song. I'm sure we'll get along just fine. And if our minds collide and attitudes arise, let's just step outside and be wise. "Our Love, wise to the prize that we feel inside. In part, back to the start when I felt Raindrops in my heart. Love Always, Jeff Classen

I'd like to pay my respects to Jeff Classen an amazing friend and co-worker. I met and became friends with Jeff in 1988 when I went to work at Indiana Plumbing & Supply. We both went on to work at Home Depot, Jeff guided me places I may never would have gone have gone and I appreciated that. He is well known for his music, humor, honesty & integrity. I would consider him the best friend I will ever have and will miss him greatly. I still come across people often that know Jeff and they always ask how he is, he will be missed. He will live on in my heart and in heaven. I am as many other are deeply sorry for your loss, Sherilyn.....

Jeff is a person of quality who wears his heart on his sleeve. He always said "please" and "thank you" and always did a job with 100% of his best work and never settled for anything less. I knew he really cared about his clients whenever he did work on my house, and I always appreciated it by treating him to lunch (which he loved - Jack in the Box was his favorite). But Jeff not only made sure to do the best job possible, but he was open and gracious, always saying tales of his wife and cats and how much he loved them and how much he enjoyed his work. He had a sunny disposition and committed work ethic. I will miss him.

Heaven will be a better place with Jeff in attendance! He was such a nice guy with a wonderful sense of humor. About 2 weeks before Sherilyn called me with the news I found a portrait that I had not seen in many years. It was taken on a cruise we went on in 1995.I propped it against my computer so I would not forget to frame it and put it on my picture wall. It brought back so many happy memories. So when Sherilyn called that picture was right in front of me. That was the best cruise ever and Jeff was the main reason! My sister Karen and I still talk about things that happened and we always get a good laugh. I loved Jeff. Sherilyn I am so sorry you have to go through this painful time! Love, Wanda

Sweet Jeff fixed so many things for me for over a decade so everything I look at reminds me of him. I enjoyed he quirky sense of humor and marveled at his expertise. Such a special person! He was so kind to my husband and me and caring when my husband passed. Jeff will be missed. He left us way too soon. My sincerest condolences to Sherilyn.

Being from Northern California, I referred to Jeff affectionately as the "Surfer from Orange County" but he was much more than that. I met Jeff in May 2011 when I was looking for a handyman to manage my apt in Garden Grove. I came across Jeff's contact info on Yelp and we arranged to meet at the apt complex during my next visit. We hit it off well and he agreed to help me manage the apts. I have always known Jeff to be a person of integrity and honesty. I will miss him here, but God needed Jeff to fix something else in Heaven. My deepest sympathy to Sherilyn and the Classen Family for your great loss. It has been a privilege and pleasure to have known and worked with Jeff.

Cousin Jeff, you are gone from us too soon! But, I know that Aunt Shirley and Grandma and Packy and Aunt Irene and my Dad are going to be so happy to see you up in Heaven! Please give them all a great big hug from me. I will always remember the time I spent with you while visiting Grandma & Grandpa in Arkansas when we were kids. You made that summer trip so much fun! I can still remember us fishing in their stock pond behind their house. And swimming and floating in inner tubes at the swimming hole. And your white-blonde hair & gentle demeanor & great sense of humor. We will miss you, but we are comforted that you are in the arms of Jesus now & with family that has gone before us. Love, Kathy

I first met Jeff in 2003 when I had begun my real estate career. He was the first handyman that I use for all of my real estate clients, and I found that he always did a fantastic job. What was really special about Jeff, was that I would give him a short list of to do fixes, but he would always go above and beyond and fix other things that he saw that were wrong with properties. I never asked him to do that but he always did such a great job. We became friends over the years, and I always loved his sense of humor, he was so funny. I enjoyed the time I had with Jeff, and I will miss him.

I met Jeff in 1999. Jeff was so charismatic. His humor was contagious. Sometimes he'd tell a silly joke and he made it sound different and you couldn't stop laughing. Jeff would go out of his way to make people happy. That's why I married Jeff he had so much to offer. Jeff was very talented and played classical guitar. He loved making our Dachshund howl and sing. Jeff could work on our cars and fix up a awesome pot of beans. And he made many of his customers happy as a Handyman and made many lasting friendships. I will miss him dearly, until we meet again, your Loving Wife and best Friend.
