My sincerest condolences to Jeff's family. I met Jeff and a few of his fellow TPD comrades at the Police Week event in DC several years ago. We quickly became friends and shared what are now a few great memories to include boating the ICW in Daytona, Ranger v Lightening games, and of course the brotherhood during Police Week. We were all going this May to DC to honor those gone before us. Now sadly, it is Jeff whom I honor. Once you met Jeff it didn't take long to know he was a good man, friend and cop. He will be missed but never forgotten. RIP friend, job well done.

I met Jeff in the early 80's at USF. He didn't know a thing about soccer but you could tell he was determined to learn the game. He would dribble the ball by himself and run all day, until he eventually approached us about playing for our team. Jeff became one of the best defenders the Suncoast soccer league has ever seen. I call it a quite determination because he never said much until he had to! After our playing days, we would frequently see each other at sporting events and always had fun and laughs. What I would give to Ziggy Ziggy at the Matterhorn one more time with you, Roger, and Greg! I am glad you are no longer suffering Jeff, however I will miss that great smile and that hearty laugh. I love you buddy, until we meet again :)
