Jerry B. Thomas was born to Alberta & Ellion A. Thomas Sr. on July 15th 1952 in Independence Missouri, where he lived his entire life, until he was called home on November 27th 2016.
He was educated in the Independence School District, where he attended Thomas Hart Benton Elementary & William Chrisman High School, where he was a member of the R.O.T.C.
As a youth Jerry became an employee of the Boys & Girls Club, of Greater Kansas City, Missouri. In later years, He became the Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Eastern Jackson County, where, as director, he organized holiday meals and many fund raising events for club members and needy families. He worked as director until he retired in 2003. He then, became a full time care provider for his mother & father.
In June of 1991 Jerry married Emma J. Lopez
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ellion A (Tony) Thomas Jr., his sister, Margaret P Thomas, his father Ellion A Thomas Sr. and his step-father Percy C Marshall.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his mother Mrs. Alberta Marshall, of the home. his step-children, David Lopez, Jovon Lopez, Jovonna Lopez, Antonia Lopez and a host of nieces and nephews.
