Obituary of
Jerry Almond
Jerry Almond, age 74, of Bloomington, died Monday morning , January 3, 2010, at his residence. Born September 10, 1936 in Altadena, California, he was the son of Daniel and Mabel (O'Neill) Almond. He was retired from Indiana University where he was an auditor in the copy machine department. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Stanislaus State College in Turlock, California. He did two years of post graduate work in English at Sacramento State College in Sacramento, California. He was a life-long avid reader. He was of the Catholic faith. He liked to travel.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Shields) Almond, of Bloomington; his son, Christopher Almond, of Los Angeles, California; his daughter, Grace Almond, of Seattle, Washington and one cousin, Patty Dunn, of Pasadena, California.
The funeral service will be held at Day Funeral Home Chapel in Bloomington on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the service in Clear Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association or to the American Lung Association.

Joyce and family, I just returned after spending a month in Florida and was reading online Bloomington happenings and noticed this about Jerry. Sorry for your loss, but know you will have memories that will help you, and take each day as it comes and make the best of it. Ruth Ann (from your old family doctor's staff)
