Jerry A. Belford, 72 of Waynesburg, died, Friday, July 8, 2011 at his home. He was born March 7, 1939 in Waynesburg, a son of the late David Charles and Emma Blanche Fox Belford. Mr. Belford served in the United States Marine Corps from 1958 to 1962. He was a welder for over 30 years and had worked for Millcraft Industries in Washington for over 21 years. Mr. Belford was a member of the Moose Lodge #461, Waynesburg, the American Legion Post #330, Waynesburg, and the Tri-County Leathernecks and assisted with the Toys for Tots program for 17 years. Jerry A. Belford, 72 of Waynesburg, died, Friday, July 8, 2011 at his home.
He was born March 7, 1939 in Waynesburg, a son of the late David Charles and Emma Blanche Fox Belford.
Mr. Belford served in the United States Marine Corps from 1958 to 1962.
He was a welder for over 30 years and had worked for Millcraft Industries in Washington for over 21 years.
Mr. Belford was a member of the Moose Lodge #461, Waynesburg, the American Legion Post #330, Waynesburg, and the Tri-County Leathernecks and assisted with the Toys for Tots program for 17 years.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On December 17, 1966 he married Ruth Darlene Belford, who survives.
Also surviving are two children, David Shane Belford and his wife Pam of Jefferson and Hiedi Garetson and her husband Chris of Waynesburg; four grandsons, Damon and Wade Belford, and Tyler and Hunter Garetson; a sister, JoAnne Shultz of Rutan.
Deceased is a brother, Charles Belford.
At the request of the deceased the services are private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Behm Funeral Homes, Inc. 182 W. High Street, Waynesburg.
