Mr. Jerry Belk, 73, died in Orangeburg S.C. on Friday, May 21, 2010 as the results of an automobile accident. Jerry was born March 22, 1937, in Union County, son of the late Glen and Margaret Lomax Belk. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. at McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe, Funeral Services 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in the McEwen Colonial Chapel, interment will follow in the Benton's Cross Roads Cemetery. Survivors include his wife: Ceola Orr Belk of the home, Daughters: Dawn Ramsey of Indian Trail, Cindi Sokolik of California, Lorrie Butler, Tammy Belk, Julee Clark all of Florida, Kay Hallman of Greenville S.C., Janet Adams of Grover N.C., Beth Thompson of Marshville N.C., Sons: Steven Lynn Belk of Florida, Jerry Richard Belk of Monroe N.C., fifteen Grandchildren, Brother: Billy Ray Belk of Indian Trail N.C., Sisters: Betty Tarleton of Charlotte N.C., Ann Bassett of South Carolina. McEwen Funeral and Cremation service of Monroe is serving the family of Mr. Belk.
