Jerry Ray Finley, 69, of Nebo, died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville. Born on November 22, 1943 in McDowell County, he was the son of the late Jabez Finley and Blanche Louise Finley. Jerry was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Johnston. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gwendolyn Tuten Finley; daughter, Lisa Finley Hicks of Nebo; son, Steven Jerry Finley of Marion; grandchildren, Nicholas Hicks, Stephanie Hicks, Victoria Hicks, Luke Finley and Shawnee Finley.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 10th from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Finley.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Inc., 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
