Jesse Jacobs Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 18, 2015.

Jesse Clayton Jacobs, age 32, of League City, Texas, passed away on March 14, 2015 at UTMB in Galveston, Texas. Jesse was born in El Paso, Texas on September 20, 1982 to Jesse and Diane Jacobs.
Jesse graduated with honors from Elkins High School in Missouri City, Texas in 2000. Even though his professional life was as varied as his many interests, he returned to the University of Houston and was a proud 2012 graduate.
Jesse is survived by his parents Jesse and Diane (Szewc) Jacobs of Richmond, Texas. Jesse will be greatly missed by his grandparents Jesse and Gladys Jacobs and John and Gerry Szewc of Phoenix, Arizona, his uncles and aunts John and Denise Szewc, Bill and Brenda Szewc, Rob and Rachel Szewc, and Jackie Jacobs all of Phoenix, Arizona, his cousins Amy, Sara, Brandon, and Lauren, and his "Pookie" Karen Mintsioulis.
In his spare time, Jesse was an amateur meteorologist who enjoyed regaling family and friends with weather statistics. Those who loved him will fondly remember his smile, especially on a stormy day.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, March 28th from 6pm-8pm at the Katy Funeral Home on 23350 Kingsland Blvd. Katy, Texas. The family requests that dress be casual and that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Jesse's name to the Jack Russell Rescue at jackrussel.rescueme.org or a charity of your choice.
The Jacobs family would like to thank the ER and ICU staff at UTMB Galveston and Ms. U.A. Lewis for all their care and support.

Dear sweet Jesse,
You are remembered fondly as a caring, intelligent, gentle young man who always had a smile on his face. My heart is heavy with sorrow, but my family holds very special, happy memories of our times together in Lubbock. John, John Robert, Patricia and I loved you and thought about you often even though we hadn't seen each other in quite some time. I just found out that you were gone, and it is such a shock. I will continue to pray for peace for your parents and your friends. Diane, I love you.

I first remember meeting Jesse when I believe he was a new student at our school. It was our junior year of high school and while everyone else was concerned about all that comes with high school, Jesse arrived with a big smile and friendly demeanor. Being the new student didn't slow him down and his wonderful spirit was contagious to anyone near him. I want to offer my condolences to Jesse's family and many friends for a life lost, but an amazing spirit not forgotten.

Jesse and Diane - As I pondered what to write about a nephew that was a bit of a mystery to me, I happened to come across a Chinese New Year's calendar and looked for Jess's birth year. Considering how much he loved his Jack Russell, how appropriate Jess was born in the year of the Dog. The Dog's traits are loyalty, intelligence, works well with others and generous. Reading other posts on how Jess affected their lives, these traits sound very much like my nephew! I will miss the opportunity to visit with him again and the chance to tease as gray hairs made their stubborn appearance. Now, Jess will always remain a handsome young man.
Doug and I grieve with you and I am here for you.

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal,
Love leaves a memory no one can steal.

The last time I saw you was with your head up, shoulders back, and chest out, being a man! You shared with the world one of the most wonderful, peaceful, captivating spirits that I have ever witnessed. You had the power to leave amazingly wonderful, unheard of impressions on people, after only being in your presence for a short period of time, I have never seen anything like it. It was such a pleasure knowing you! Big Jesse and Diane can be nothing but proud of the boy they raised to become a man! You will be missed. Bless your soul my Jesse! Your friend-Ms. Lewis

Jesse -
What an amazing cousin & friend you were... You were so funny & full of life. You were bold.. Yet humble and sincere. I don't know why God chose you to come home to Him so soon... But what gives me peace - is that this life on Earth is but a moment..& heaven is forever. From the childhood memories - through this past October when I last saw you at the AZ STATE FAIR - the memories of you make me smile & will always be in my heart. I'm proud to say that you are my cousin..& I love you. Until we meet again.... Love Ya cuz.... Luv Amy
