JIM W. ASHING
Jim W. Ashing, 83, of Odessa passed Monday, May 21, 2012 at Medical Center Hospital. He was born November 23, 1928 in Durant, OK to Henry & Pearl (Spears) Ashing. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for El Paso Natural Gas for 33 years. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Tyler Ashing of Odessa, son, Wayne Ashing & wife Rhonda of Bartlesville, OK, daughter, Jan Ash & husband Jim of the Woodlands, TX, as well as (3) sister-in-laws & (1) brother-in-law, (4) grandchildren, & (4) great-grandchildren.
He enjoyed working in his garden, eating Casa Ole' and listening to Rush Limbaugh in his workshop. He was a hard worker and always had a joke and a smile. He will be missed by all who knew him.
There will be a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2012 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dean Williamson officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
