Jimmie Carolyn Bryant, 69, of Smackover, passed away Friday, July 22, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. Jimmie was born on February 21, 1942 in Smackover; the daughter of James Earlie and Jessie Belle Hanson Wilkins. She was a cashier at Wal-Mart for 18 years and a member of Joyce City Baptist Church. Jimmie loved working at Wal-Mart. She loved her family and enjoyed all of them. She always had a smile to brighten others day even if she was having a rough day. She loved people and life in general. She entertained for nursing homes and schools for years as Dolly Parton, Minnie Pearl, the "old man", the "witch", Momma Santa...
Jimmie Carolyn Bryant, 69, of Smackover, passed away Friday, July 22, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.

Jimmie was born on February 21, 1942 in Smackover; the daughter of James Earlie and Jessie Belle Hanson Wilkins. She was a cashier at Wal-Mart for 18 years and a member of Joyce City Baptist Church.
Jimmie loved working at Wal-Mart. She loved her family and enjoyed all of them. She always had a smile to brighten others day even if she was having a rough day. She loved people and life in general. She entertained for nursing homes and schools for years as Dolly Parton, Minnie Pearl, the "old man", the "witch", Momma Santa Claus and Chuck Berry. She was a woman of strong faith. She loved the Lord and her faith in Him allowed her to make it to her final resting place.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence Edward Bryant; three brothers, James Harold, Dewayne, and Charlie Wilkins; and one sister, Janice Wilkins.

Jimmie is survived by one son, Mark Bryant of Smackover; two daughters, Cindy Bowden and Kristi Bryant of Norphlet; one brother, Dennis Wilkins (Faye) of Zwolle, LA; her grandchildren, Anthony Davis, Ashley Jones, Amber Barnes, Cody and Cole Bryant, Bryce, Brandon, and Hannah Lockhart and Misti Bowden; and her great-grandchildren, Preston, Kaylee Ann and Trace Davis and Austin, Sierra, Braydon and Cameron Jones, Lindsey Maness and Mason Barnes.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 25 at Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Young's.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society P. O. Box 10403 El Dorado, AR 71730.
