My beloved husband, father, and Big Papaw, Jimmy Wayne Hartwick, Sr., 79, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 27, 2016.
He was born in Guy, Arkansas to Garland and Lois Hartwick on May 20, 1937. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Geneva Battles.
Jim was president and owner of Ozark Acoustical Contractors, president of Western Hills Country Club of Little Rock, and part owner of Burns Insulation in Harrison. He enjoyed outdoor gardening, music, fishing, and traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Virginia Sue Hartwick; daughter, Gretchen (Keith) Simmons; son, Jimmy (Mandy) Hartwick, Jr.; three grandchildren, Troy Carpenter, Ally Hartwick and Scout Simmons; one great-grandson, Reese Carpenter; and a host of family and friends.
Jim loved his family and will be deeply missed by those that knew him.

My warmest thoughts go to Jim's family. May God give you enough of everything you need to see you through this time in your life. Jim is a distant cousin and I first met him at my Grandmother, Lillie Bradshaw's house in the 1950's. We crossed paths off and on through the years and I've always enjoyed talking with him, particularly about our ancestry.

I worked for Jim at Ozark Acoustical on both Elm St. and Lewis in the '70's. My Dad (Fred) and I worked in the warehouse together on Elm and I worked in the office on Lewis. I know it has been years since I have seen Jim or Virginia but you both crossed my mind over the years. Jim was always honest and fair with me and for a young man with a new wife and child, that meant so very much. So sorry for your loss, I know you will miss his being around but the memories will always be with you. Praying for each member of the family.
