Obituary

There are people in this world who seem bigger than life; their personality is so charismatic their heart so big that they are almost super human; this was Jim who occasionally wore a cape. Jim came from a large family who lovingly called him "Baby Jim". Jim was a man of many talents he had a beautiful voice and loved to cook, he was quick to tell everyone that his cooking was the best because it was "made with love". Jim knew the value of people he was quick to lend a hand, a shoulder to cry on or an ear for listening. His wisdom brought great comfort to many throughout his life. Jim worked for the City of Amarillo most of his life where he started in traffic and later became a Wastewater Superintendent. He jokingly referred to himself as "The Prince of the PooPoo Palace". He was optimistic and humorous about all of life's situations never passing up a chance to make light of something. He was an active member of his church family. He leaves fond memories and a life "made with love".

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents Johnny and Barbara Stover.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Faye; his children Heather Scasta (Brian) Jimmy Stover Jr; Tymesha Sutton and Robert Westmoreland Jr (Maricella) Siblings Johnny Stover Jr; Susann Brown; Sherry Stover; Pattie Casey (Tommy); Annie Baldwin (Bobby); Patricia Asberry (Donnell), Vicky Howell; Billy Sutton; Willie Sutton; mother in law Essie Sutton. 15 grandchildren.

"Faye, one of the things I respected about Jimmy was that he wouldn't ask you to do anything he wasn't willing to do himself. I remember afer he was promoted..." Patrick Mickey (Amarillo, TX)
